The world famous 2nd Street Bistro is a workshop where for nearly twenty years we have practiced the craft of blending classical French technique with locally available products. All of us would like to avoid here the merest suggestion that there is anything wrong with our food and wine obsession.

The 2nd Street Bistro was opened by chef Brian Menges in the Historic Murray Hotel at the heart of downtown Livingston in the spring of 2004. The Bistro is rooted simply in the belief that great food and wine make life more pleasurable. We are committed to providing locally sourced cuisine and wonderful wines.

The 2nd Street Bistro combines the techniques of classic French cooking with locally and regionally sourced Montana lamb, pork, beef, chicken and produce. We pride ourselves on making everything from scratch from baguettes to croissants to crème brulee. We offer a wide selection of wonderful appetizers, eclectic salads, great steaks, chops, seafood and amazing desserts.
